Ravishing Rivas Department of Nicaragua


The Pacific Ocean, bordering Nicaragua country, is separated from Lake Nicaragua by a wide isthmus. This isthmus belongs to Rivas Department and has wonderful collections of natural, historic and cultural attractions and so serves as one among the best tourist destinations of the country.

Wildlife Refuges in Nicaragua


The home of 35 species of flora and fauna, a part of mangrove organization from Gulf of Fonseca, Deltas del Estero Real y Llanos de Apacunca has a wonderful collection of ecosystem than any other sanctuaries in Nicaragua.

 



Gulf of Fonseca is communal with El Salvador and Honduras and is broadly used as a place to cultivate shrimp, agriculture and also for fishing. A piece of the land is used to protect wild endemic species from the year 1996.


  

Another Wildlife Refuge, Los Guatuzos is found located near Lake Nicaragua to the south and San Juan River to the west. The diversity of this wildlife refuge include rainforest and tropical wetland and serves as a shelter for about 77 migrating bird diversity, 326 local bird diversity and also for about 32 species of mammals along with around ten different reptile species.
 


 

This wildlife sanctuary has sheltered many bird species that are nearing to be extinct. Butterflies belonging to different species and flora of many kinds are also sheltered here, in order to maintain the help them grow back from being endangered ones. Wonderful La Isla Ometepe of Lake Nicaragua at Nicaragua


Nicaragua, Central America’s largest country is known far and wide for its scenic beauty and best staying facilities and is successful in attracting the tourists from all over the world.
 
 

Granada and Leon are the two colonial cities found located in this country and are considered as one among the most searched places, for touring purposes. By travelling for about 90 minute in a bus you will reach Lake Nicaragua. If you travel farther for about 90 minutes in a ferry ride, you will reach La Isla Ometepe.
 
 

La Isla Ometepe is an island and is made by two different volcanoes, Maderas and Concepcion. The island is provided with paved roads, until you reach the other side of the island. The roads are then continued with bumpy and curvy path and hence taking a ferry ride is preferred the most. The tourism industry is trying hard to construct the road even though facing the difficulty due to these volcanic mountains.
 


Renting motorbikes is the best option, while visiting the island. Unlike all other volcanic structures, Maderas and Concepcion also provide best hiking adventure, along with some kayaking options. You can also visit Rio Istan, where you can plenty of migrating birds, Charco Verde reserve for animals, etc.
